We pick our favourite and tell you more about their location, their team and what inspires them about their food.

One of the fun jobs here at Taste Traders is visiting delicatessens to see and taste all the delicious food they have to offer.

THE FINE CHEESE COMPANY, BATH

One of our long-term favourites is based on Walcot Street in Bath (close to the outdoor antiques market). As you would expect they have an outstanding range of cheese including the local Stinking Bishop (although the Cornish Blue we sampled on the visit was divine). Their own “Fine Cheese Co.” crackers are exceptional.Visit the Deli

The Fine Cheese Company’s love of cheese extends beyond these shores. They also import artisan cheeses from France, Italy, Spain and Holland (sometimes the only way to get the Dutch to part with their finest aged Gouda is to go over and get it).

Throughout their history, The Fine Cheese Co. has sought, cared for and loved hand-made cheese. They have also made it their business to know what flatters it and makes it a new experience. Their dedicated and unique ranges of Crackers (made by their sister Company, Artisan Biscuits), Fruits, Whole Fruits, Chutneys, and English Pickles for Cheese are the result.

They are a strong supporter of the independent retailer – after all they are an independent retailer themselves – and none of The Fine Cheese Co. ranges of products will ever be sold in a British supermarket. But you will find them in over 600 delicatessens and farm shops throughout the UK.
